Itinerary Details
Day 1: Arrival in Arusha
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport or Arusha Airport, your driver-guide will warmly welcome you and transfer you to your lodge in Arusha. Check in, relax after your journey, and enjoy dinner and an overnight stay at Forest Hill Lodge, preparing for your exciting safari adventure ahead.
Day 2: Arusha – Tarangire National Park
After breakfast, depart for Tarangire National Park, a scenic three-hour drive from Arusha. Enjoy a full-day game drive in this stunning park known for its massive baobab trees and large elephant herds. Tarangire’s river attracts diverse wildlife, including lions, leopards, zebras, and giraffes. In the evening, drive to Marera View Lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 3: Tarangire – Serengeti National Park
After an early breakfast, begin your journey to Serengeti National Park. Enjoy breathtaking views of the Rift Valley and Ngorongoro Crater en route, with a picnic lunch along the way. Arrive in the Serengeti by afternoon and embark on an evening game drive, witnessing the sunset over the endless plains. Dinner and overnight at your mid-range lodge or tented camp inside the Serengeti.
Day 4: Full Day Game Drive in Serengeti
Spend a full day exploring the Serengeti, following the movement of the Great Wildebeest Migration and searching for predators such as lions, leopards, and cheetahs. Your experienced guide will take you to the best spots for wildlife viewing. Return to your lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight stay surrounded by the sounds of the wild.
Day 5: Serengeti – Ngorongoro Highlands
Rise early to catch the sunrise over the Serengeti. After breakfast, enjoy one last morning game drive before continuing toward the Ngorongoro Highlands. Enjoy scenic landscapes and spot wildlife along the way. Arrive at your lodge near Ngorongoro for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 6: Ngorongoro Crater – Mto wa Mbu Village Tour
After breakfast, descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, one of Africa’s best wildlife destinations. The crater floor is home to elephants, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeests, and the endangered black rhino. Enjoy your picnic lunch beside a hippo pool before ascending from the crater. On your way back, stop for a walking tour in Mto wa Mbu Village, where you’ll experience local life, banana plantations, and traditional Tanzanian cuisine. Dinner and overnight at Marera View Lodge.
Day 7: Lake Manyara National Park – Arusha
After breakfast, drive to Lake Manyara National Park for a game drive. The park is famous for its tree-climbing lions, flocks of pink flamingos, and lush groundwater forests. Visit a nearby Maasai village to learn about their culture and traditions before returning to Arusha, marking the end of your unforgettable safari adventure.
